C US Bank named Top Workplace in Iowa

CRESCO—C US Bank was named a Top Workplace in Iowa in the Des Moines Register’s first ever Iowa’s Top Workplaces section published Sept. 18, 2011. They were ranked 27th in the small sized company employers (50-149 employees.)

J. Scott Thomson, President of C US Bank, said, “We are very proud to be named a Top Workplace in the state of Iowa. We strive to create a fun and educational work environment where people feel like they have a voice in the direction of the bank. We want our employees to look forward to coming to work.”

The Des Moines Register partnered with Workplace Dynamics to name the top workplaces in the state. Any organization, including businesses, nonprofits and government, with at least 50 employees in Iowa could participate, at no cost. The Register asked readers to nominate employers and Workplace Dynamics invited 906 companies to participate. Employees were surveyed about their work environments and what was most important to them. They were able to rate their employers on a variety of statements including direction, conditions, career paths, execution, managers, pay, and benefits.

C US Bank employees completed a survey in April about their work environment. Their survey results lead to C US Bank being named a Top Workplace.

Thomson is proud and thankful of the bank employees. He said, “We appreciate our employee’s loyalty, dedication and sense of purpose that has helped make C US Bank one of Iowa’s Top 70 Workplaces. We have tried to create a work family atmosphere and feel that our employees care about each other and our customers.”

C US Bank, with offices in Cresco, Ridgeway, Lime Springs, Osage, and Charles City, has 92 employees. In the past year they have hired 8 additional employees and are looking to hire additional employees in the coming year.
