Chas Malek joins CUSB Lending Team


CUSB Bank President Mike Drees has announced that Chas Malek has joined the CUSB staff as an Agribusiness Loan Officer.

Malek will be working with agriculture and commercial lending customers at the Cresco location of CUSB Bank. He worked at CUSB Bank as a student teller several years ago. Since his employment with CUSB, he completed his Ag Business Degree (Ag Finance Minor) from Upper Iowa in 2015 and has gained further banking, business, construction, and farming experience over the past six years.

Doug Krabbe, Executive Vice President and Head of Lending, said, “We’re excited to welcome Chas back to our staff. We know that his business and farming experience along with his education have prepared him well for his new position.”

Along with banking, Malek is actively farming and is a volunteer fire fighter in Cresco. His family includes his fiance’, Stephanie, and boys, Carter and Parker.

Malek is excited to be back working at CUSB Bank. He said, “It is very exciting to be back at CUSB Bank in Cresco. I hope to further build relationships within the community I grew up in and look forward in helping customers reach their financial goals.”
