CUSB celebrates 10 years of Community Involvement Program

posted on Thursday, January 31, 2019

In 2018, CUSB Bank completed their 10th year of their community involvement program that encouraged their employees to help out at a variety of community events. CUSB Bank employees have worked over 11,000 hours since the program was implemented.

J. Scott Thomson, President of CUSB Bank, said, “We implemented a program in 2008 that encouraged our employees to help out in the community. The goals of the program were to help out with community events, work together as a team for the betterment of the community, and have fun doing so. Being active members of the community through a wide variety of special events, boards, and programs is one of our core business principles at CUSB Bank. Because of the success of the program, we have continued the program since then. It has been wonderful!”

Employees helped with the following local events: Cresco Family Fun Night, Charles City Party in the Park, Osage Friday Night Out, Howard, Winneshiek, Mitchell, and Floyd County Fairs; several local parades, concession stands, spook walks, and more.

They will continue with the program in 2019.
